Wizard of Paws to have fundraiser Saturday benefitting local youth

The new Wizard of Paws is at 406 E. Fourth St. in downtown Tonganoxie. The new location is about six times larger than the former space a couple blocks away in terms of usable space.Pet owners can bring in their cats and dogs Saturday to Wizard of Paws for nail trims that will benefit a local girl battling illness.
The nail trims will be 9 a.m.-noon Saturday for the suggested donation of $15. All proceeds from the trims, as well as a raffle and Kansas City Chiefs animal bandanas will go to the Hope for Amelia fundraiser.
Local youth Amelia White is battling B-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma and the drive has been created to help the White family cover expenses.
Those wanting to purchase the dog bandanas and scarves can visit Wizard of Paws at 406 E. Fourht St. this week to get their respective canines ready for the Super Bowl on Sunday evening.
In addition raffle tickets can be purchased this week for $5 each.
Local businesses donating to prizes are T-Town Nutrition, Modern Blonde Salon, Tanson Boutique, Downtown Drugstore, 1866 Bar and Grill, 3 Sisters Coffee and Creamery, Tara Myers with Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties and Mr. Tire.
