Tonganoxie Business Assoc. celebrates community, members at annual banquet

Ladd Service Company was named Business of the Year, while Schubert Advanced Practice was named Entrepreneur of the Year. Non-Profit of the Year went to Tonganoxie Lions Club and Legacy Award went to Kay Soetaert.
Ladd representatives were unable to attend the event. The longtime Tonganoxie plumbing, heating and cooling business opened in 1986. It now is at 1520 State Ave. after a long stint downtown. Ladd renovated a building on the south side of the highway.

1866 Bar and Grill catered the meal. Tonganoxie Community Historical Society’s Kris Roberts, Charlie “Tuna” Conrad and Ray Stockman gave a presentation on some of Tonganoxie’s history. Roughly 50 attended the event.
Tonganoxie Business Association meets at 8 a.m. the second Friday of each month at Venue 304. Grounded Coffeehouse is behind the venue in the same building at Fourth and Shawnee streets.
