Parents kept giving updates of how far away the Tonganoxie High girls wrestling team SUV and van were from arriving back at THS wrestling room in the district’s administrative center.

Complete with a police escort, the party got started when the vehicles returned to the parking lot with some special passengers in tow: the 2025 Class 4A girls state wrestling champions. THS won its first team title in (and individual title) in program history Saturday at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina.
