Andrew Miller, 34, Kansas City, Mo., was driving a 2016 Hyundai Tucson west in the second lane when his vehicle struck a 2006 Peterbilt tractor pulling a 2014 East trailer that also was heading west, according to Kansas Highway Patrol reports. Kagan Madden, 28, Oneida, Tenn., was driving the tractor.

Miller’s SUV struck the tractor trailer in the rear, according to KHP reports.

The wreck happened about 6:55 a.m. Wednesday at milepost 415.4.

Miller went to Providence Medical Center with suspected minor injury. Madden didn’t suffer any apparent injuries, reports said.

Both were were safety restraints.
