Spooktacular is Friday; other Halloween events planned for weekend, Monday

Downtown Tonganoxie gets quite festive in October as organizers prepare for Spooktacular. The event for youths along Fourth Street traditionally takes place the Friday before Halloween.
Downtown Tonganoxie will be flooded with youths later this Friday with the annual Spooktacular event.
Tonganoxie Business Association again is sponsoring the event, which will be 6-8 p.m. Friday along Fourth Street.
Local businesses and organizations will be handing out candy at the event, which is thought to draw around 1,000 youths (and their families) to the downtown district each Halloween season.
For more about the event, including how to participate, visit the Tonganoxie Business Association Facebook page.
Candy donations are welcome and businesses don’t have to have a down- town storefront to participate in the downtown event.
