McLouth Happenings: Trees on display; Winter break starts; Candlelight services
Christmas trees continue to be on display in Luse Park
McLouth’s 13th annual Festival of Trees Party and Christmas Tree Lighting celebration took place earlier this month and signaled the start of the holiday season in McLouth.
Community members and organizations decorated trees in the park that continue to be on display for anyone who wants to check out the array of trees.
The deadline for trees to be removed from the park in the new year is Jan. 13.
Winter break begins for McLouth students
McLouth USD 342 students started their winter break today.
There is no school today for a teacher work day. Winter break then continues into the new year.
The second semester begins when classes resume Jan. 3.
First Baptist Church candlelight service set for Christmas Eve
First Baptist Church of McLouth invites you to a relaxed 8 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight service, as we celebrate the birth of Our Savior, featuring Communion, the hymns of Christmas and special music.
The service will be Saturday night at the church.
