Daylight saving time starts Sunday

Remember to set your clocks forward (Spring ahead!) one hour before going to bed Saturday. Daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday. It will end at 2 a.m. Nov. 5.

Patriots Day is April 15

McLouth’s annual Patriots Day celebration will be April 15.

The day will start with pancakes from 8-10 a.m. at the fire house. McLouth United Methodist Church is sponsoring the pancake feed.

A children’s parade will be 11 a.m., with line-up starting at McLouth City Hall at 10:30 a.m.

McLouth Medical Health Clinic will have cholesterol and blood pressure checks from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., while the McLouth Kiwanis Club will have lunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the fire station.

Cubmobile races will begin after the children’s parade.

The main parade will begin at 1 p.m., with participants gathering at Stan Braksick Sports Complex. All active-duty military families and veterans are invited to join the parade.

A weapons demonstration by World War II re-enactors will take place after the parade.
