McLouth Public Library to feature local author

Local author Margaret Smelser will be discussing her book “On the Other Side of the Dozer Blade” next week at the McLouth Public Library.

The event highlighting the local collection of poems will be 2 p.m. Monday at the library, 213 Union St. in downtown McLouth.

Library staff also will be serving sweet and savory treats and Christmas punch and coffee.

The library is normally open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.

The library is closed on Sunday.
