Anniversaries
Warren and Leota Daniels
Warren and Leota Daniels, McLouth, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception for friends and relatives hosted by their children and their children’s families.
The gathering will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at Stanwood Friends Church, which is just of Kansas Highway 16, between McLouth and Tonganoxie. A basket dinner will follow the morning worship service. The couple requests no gifts.
Leota Mae Winfrey and Roscoe Warren Daniels were married on Dec. 26, 1949, at Stanwood Church.
Mr. Daniels retired as a heavy equipment operator in 1990 but is still active in the cattle business. Mrs. Daniels is a homemaker and continues her work in her church community where she has been the pianist for many years.
The reception will be hosted by the couple’s two sons and three daughters and their families: Jim and Debbie Daniels of Lansing; John and Charlotte Daniels, Delpha and Ron Forshee, Donna and Deral Haling all of McLouth; and Delia and John Heston of Oskaloosa; Charisse and Curtis Woodhead, Brant Daniels, Chris and Angie Forshee, Waylon and Willie Haling all of McLouth; Benton Daniels of Lawrence, Chad Daniels Pittsburg; Ashley Daniels of Leavenworth; Casey Rigdon of Lansing; and Jake and Boone Heston of Oskaloosa. Two great-grandchildren are Trevor and Taylor Woodhead of McLouth.
