Virginia I. (Belle ) Coonfield
1912-1999
Virginia I. (Belle) Coonfield died Tuesday, November 9, 1999 at Bonner Health Center, Bonner Springs. Graveside services were held Nov. 13, following cremation. Burial was at Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Coonfield was born February 26, 1912 in Arthur, Mo. She was employed at Clark Junior High School in the cafeteria. She retired in 1982. She was an active member of Saratoga Rebeccah Lodge of Bonner Springs. She also served as Republican precinct committeewoman and was on the election board in Bonner Springs for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Coonfield, in 1991, and four brothers; Charles, Floyd, Bruce and Leonard Wasson; and one sister Evelyn (Babe) Hudson.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann and husband Gene Allen of Tonganoxie and Helen and husband Lincoln Stransky of Overland Park, Kan.; four grandchildren; Teresa Ellis of Tonganoxie, Dale Allen of Bonner Springs, Keith Stransky of Meridon, Conn., Ken Stransky of Norton, Vt., and six great-grandchildren; Katy and Jeny Ellis of Tonganoxie, Kirt and Shilo Allen of Bonner Springs, Lynn and Karen Stransky of Ridgewood, N.J.; and one sister, Thelma McCaslin of Bonner Springs.

Kenneth W. Bedsaul
1912 – 1999
Kenneth W. Bedsaul, 87, of Wheatland, Mo., died November 2, 1999, at the home of his son, Lee Bedsaul, also of Wheatland. He was a veteran of World War Two, and received the Purple Heart because of injuries he received in the war.
He was buried with military honors. Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 5 at Hathaway-Peterman Funeral Home, Wheatland.
Survivors include his son, Lee and Lee’s wife, Michelle, and six grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, Jack Bedsaul, Harrisonville, Mo., and a sister, Louise Whitford, Tonganoxie, as well as nieces and a nephew.
Albert C. Smith
1926-1999
Albert C. (Smitty) Smith, 73, of Tonganoxie died Monday, Nov. 13, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park.
Smith was born Oct. 26, 1926 in Milan, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Nov. 18, at Heartland Community Church of the Nazarene, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence, Kan.
Smith is survived by wife, Trula; two sons, Clifford Smith of Lawrence, and Lane Smith of Tonganoxie; one daughter, Dyla Lawrence of McLouth; two brothers, Paul Smith of Gallatin, Mo., and James Smith of Lawrence; one sister, Loraine Owens of Kansas City, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
