A vehicle driven by Joseph Thomas, 18, McLouth, was traveling south on County Road 27 at 8 a.m. Saturday when his vehicle went off the road onto the left shoulder and then traveled about 250 feet. The vehicle then swerved left, rolled over a guard rail and continued to roll down an embankment. The vehicle came to a rest on a creek bank. Thomas and passenger Miranda Porter, 19, Lawrence, were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where they were treated and released.

A 31-year-old Tonganoxie man, reported the theft of several items from his shed last Tuesday. Two air compressors, one toolbox, a rototiller and a saw were stolen. The estimated loss was $2,100, sheriff’s reports said.

Two youths reported $1,300 worth of items stolen from their vehicle while at a party in the 15000 block of Briarwood. CDs, money, a purse and a softball bat were among items stolen, according to reports.
