Who’s responsible?
While I totally agree with your glowing review of our refurbished main drag, there is one factor that causes me concern: the electrical outlets at each tree planting.
It is only a matter of time until some running child or shuffling senior citizen trips over one of them sustaining a fracture or other serious injury.
From my years of experience as an orthopaedic surgeon, I can assure you that the victim will blame someone else for the accident and a lawyer will be ready willing and eager to file suit for the personal injury.
My only question is who will be the responsible party? The city? The merchant? Or the designer of this “attractive” nuisance?
It is only a matter of time.
