Ida R. Basile
1910-2000
Services for Ida R. Basile, 90, Tonganoxie, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2000, at Quisenberry Chapel, Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Basile died Monday, May 22, 2000, at her home. She was born Jan. 2, 1910, in North Umberland, N.Y., the daughter of Joseph and Eva (Pratt) Scamolla.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tonganoxie. She married Frank Basile in Girard, Ohio. He died in August 1971.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Trina, Wheeling, Ill., and Vincent Basile, Tonganoxie; two daughters, Rosemary Seiger, Lawrence, and Frances Cron, Temecula, Calif.; a brother, Ed Volpe, Harward, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to service time Thursday.

Beulah E. Hall
1911-2000
Services for Beulah E. Hall, 89, McLouth, were Thursday, May 18, 2000, at Hubbel Hill Cemetery, in Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Hall died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. She was born Jan. 9, 1911, in Dodge, Neb., the daughter of Maurice F. Black Sr. and Addie Brown Black.

She graduated from Dodge High School in 1929 and moved with her family to the Tonganoxie area. She then attended the Lawrence Business College.

She worked for the Kansas House of Representatives and the State Corporation Commission in Topeka when Alf Landon was governor. During World War II she worked for the U.S. Army Finance Office in Kansas City, Kan. Mrs. Hall retired after 13 years as a bookkeeper for the Watkins Hospital at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.

She married Ray H. Hall on June 25, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan. They bought a farm and moved to the McLouth area in 1945. He died April 15, 1990.

Survivors include a son, Warren Hall, Topeka; a daughter, Linda Lobb, Tonganoxie; three brothers, Dale Black, Kansas City, Kan., Wayne C. Black and Maurice F. Black, both of Tonganoxie; four sisters, Gladys Zimmerli, Doris Gilliland and Opal Kerns, all of Tonganoxie, and Alta Wright, Lawrence; and four grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Meals on Wheels, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie, 66086.

Velma Grace Siegmund
1914-2000
Graveside services were Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie for Velma Grace Siegmund, 85, Raymore, Mo.

Mrs. Siegmund died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Foxwood Springs Retirement Community in Raymore. She was born Dec. 20, 1914, in Clyde, the daughter of Jim and Mary (Freeman) Hayes.

She married Fred W. Siegmund on Aug. 30, 1940, in Manhattan. He died on Dec. 15, 1981.

Survivors include a son, Richard W. Siegmund, Tyler, Texas, a daughter, Ida Ann Applegate, Wichita, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
