Obituary: Bernadine A. Bellinger
Services for Bernadine A. Bellinger Kline, 79, Woodward, Okla., will be at 1:30 p.m. today, Dec. 12, 2001, at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, with the Rev. Fred Leimkuhler officiating. Burial will be in Wild Horse Cemetery in rural McLouth.
Mrs. Kline died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at her daughter’s home in Woodward, Okla., where she had lived for more than a year. She was born Oct. 5, 1922, at Seiling, Okla., a twin daughter of John Arthur and Millie Emeline Lytle Weeks.
She had lived in Oskaloosa since 1971 and also shared time in Boron, Calif., since 1990.
She was a waitress for many years at the Kitchen Restaurant and the Old Bank Cafboth in Oskaloosa. She also worked for many years at the Innes Tearoom in Wichita.
She was a member of the Stanwood Friends Church in rural McLouth, where she served as church clerk and was a missionary of the church. She was a member of the Boron, Calif., Lions Club and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary No. 36 in Oskaloosa. She was a member and past president of the Kansas State Twins Association.
She attended schools in Belleville, Kan., and Westcliff, Colo. She also attended Friends Bible College in Haviland.
She married Glen Orville Kline in 1939. He was killed in action on April 10, 1945, during World War II. She married George D. Bellinger on April 5, 1951, at Carson City, Nev. He died on Aug. 18, 1990. She married Lawrence Kline on Aug. 24, 1991, and he died on June 19, 1995.
Survivors include six sons, George Milton Bellinger, Imperial, Pa., Donald Glen Kline, Whittier, Calif., Dennis Floyd Bellinger, Rome, N.Y., David Joseph Bellinger and Terrance Leland Bellinger, both of Oskaloosa, and Ronald Charles Bellinger, Lawrence; a daughter, Barbara Maxine Patrick, Woodward, Okla.; two sisters, Josephine Almeda Thronberg, Pittsburg, and Maxine Martha Dyer (her twin), Kansas City, Mo.; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
