Kalie Hileman and Tori King led the team with four steals each. Amanda Lennon and Maggie Gratny each had six rebounds, while Kelly Stauch had two assists. Scoring for Tonganoxie were: Lennon, 10; Hileman, 6; and Gratny, 5.

The seventh-grade team also opened the season with a win against Xavier, 43-25.
