Richard Harry “Dick” Ristow

Services for Richard Harry “Dick” Ristow, 70, Hermitage, Mo., were Dec. 21, 2002, at Wheatland, Mo. Mr. Ristow, a former Kansas City, Kan., resident, died Dec. 18, 2002, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo.

He was born March 25, 1932, the son of Harry and Edna Ristow.

Mr. Ristow served in the U.S. Navy early in his adult life and later worked at a variety of jobs, including milkman and a manager of gun clubs and shooting ranges. He was a carpenter for Wyandotte County before his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Ristow, of the home; a son, Rick Ristow, North Kansas City, Mo.; four daughters, Linda Puetz, Overland Park, Karen Edwards, Hillsboro, Ore., Sandra Koontz, Tonganoxie, and Sheila Wacker, Overland Park; a sister, Virginia Reece, Wichita; and 12 grandchildren. A granddaughter, Edith Ristow, died earlier.
