Obituary/Doris Pauline Wiley
Services for Doris Pauline (Moore) Wiley, 88, Tonganoxie, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mrs. Wiley died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center, Tonganoxie. She was born July 31, 1913, on a farm east of McLouth, the daughter of Perl and Ella (Knowlton) Moore. She was a graduate of Eureka County School and McLouth High School.
She married Walter L. Wiley on Feb. 12, 1933. He died on Nov. 19, 2001.
Mrs. Wiley worked at the North American Bomber Plant during World War II and later as a nurse at Providence Medical Center for 30 years. She was a member of the Stanwood Friends Church for more than 60 years.
Survivors include two sons, Lyle Wayne Wiley, Grove, Okla., and Ronald L. Wiley, Brookline, Mo.; a daughter, Judith Kay Evans, Tonganoxie; a sister, Virginia Ambler, Plano, Tex.; three granddaughters; and four stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
