Obituary: Arthur E. Cooper
Services for Dr. Arthur E. Cooper, 94, Norton, will be Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at the First United Methodist Church in Norton.
Dr. Cooper died last Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Brighton Gardens Nursing Home in Prairie Village. He was born Sept 27, 1908, in Kenosha, Wis.
He graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School in 1934 and became a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in both England and the South Pacific. He was a general practitioner of medicine in Norton until 1971. Dr. Cooper was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Linn Arthur Cooper, Tonganoxie, and Dr. Barry R. Cooper, MD, Mission Hills; six grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.
