Obituary: Velma Helen Cain

Services for Velma Helen Cain, 75, Edwardsville, were Monday, March 3, 2003, at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Cain died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. She was born Feb. 14, 1928, in McCook, Neb., the daughter of James Earl and Pandora (Morash) McBrien.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 81 in Kansas City, Kan.

She married Ray Cain on July 21, 1950, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He died in 1986.

Survivors include three sons, David Cain, Oklahoma City, Alvin Cain, Tonganoxie, and Ivan Cain, McLouth; one daughter, Paula Cain-Bergstrom, Prescott, Ariz.; two brothers, Marion McBrien, Basehor, and Norman McBrien, Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
