Services for Keith Dunavin, Tonganoxie, were Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Warren-MeElwain Eudora Chapel in Eudora.
Burial was in the Eudora Cemetery.
Keith, who was 16, died May 19, 2003, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., from complications of cystic fibrosis. He was born Oct. 11, 1986, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Kenneth Calhoon and Paula Dunavin.
Keith spent most of his life in eastern Kansas, including Eudora and Kansas City, Kan. He attended Perry Middle School in Perry.
Keith was an avid outdoorsman, and spent much time hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Kenneth Calhoon, Perry; two sisters, Robin Calhoon and Brooke Calhoon, both of Kansas City, Kan.; grandparents, Roddy and Becky Dunavin, Perry, Elizabeth Oakes, Paola; Wanda Calhoon, Kansas City, Kan.; great-grandparents, Ruth Dunavin, Eudora, Lucky and Mary Bass; three half-brothers, Ryan Calhoon, Jason Calhoon and Brandon Calhoon, all of Leavenworth; one half-sister, Ashley Calhoon, Leavenworth; two stepsisters, Ashley Pruitt and Amanda Pruitt, of Kansas City, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Calhoon.
