Obituary: Alma Aleatha Goodwin

Services for Alma Aleatha Goodwin, 89, Tonganoxie, were Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003 at Victory Baptist Church, Tonganoxie. Burial was in Dooley Bend Cemetery, Hermitage, Mo.

Mrs. Goodwin died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence. She was born Jan. 14, 1914, in Cosby, Mo., the daughter of Homer and Margaret (Spainhouer) Shields.

She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church, Tonganoxie. On Dec. 8, 1933, she married John T. Goodwin in Lexington, Mo. He died June 1, 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Clark Goodwin, Lawrence, and Jimmy Goodwin, Independ-ence, Mo.; two sisters, Beatrice Barber, Ravenwood, Mo., and Laura Porter, Cameron, Mo.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Pleasant Village Apartments activity fund, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, Box 993, Tonganoxie, 66086.
