Seventh-graders split A-team games

By Staff | Nov 17, 2004

Again last week, the Tonganoxie Junior High seventh-grade team split its two A-team games.

On Nov. 9, the Warriors sprinted to an early lead and held on against Xavier with a 23-15 victory.

The Warriors were led by the first-half scoring of Andie Jeannin and second-half steals and scoring of Abby Eisman.

Madi Yates and Shelby Heskett provided outstanding rebounding, while Lauren Hall provided the defense, TJHS coach Phil Jeannin said.

On Thursday, both the A and B-teams fell to Linwood. The A-team lost, 30-17, while the B-team lost, 17-10.

“In both games, the Lady Warriors played hard, but could not overcome more experienced players,” Jeannin said.
