The Chieftains took on a field that included 19 teams, their largest tournament of the season thus far.

And sprinkled in the mix were two teams Tonganoxie will face at regionals — Topeka-Hayden and Perry-Lecompton. Hayden (325) finished third at the meet behind Gardner-Edgerton and Paola, while Perry-Lecompton was 15th with 382 points. Tonganoxie finished 14th at 380. Gardner-Edgerton won the meet with a 320.

Cody Sims again led Tonganoxie golfers with a low score of 86. Adam Reetz shot a 96 and Chris Smith had a 97. Sims finished the meet 26th overall out of 120 golfers.

THS competed Tuesday at Atchison and then will be at Lake Perry at 3 p.m. May 5.
