Ladies of the Springdale Friends Missionary Society No. 2 met at Alfreda Ryan’s home on Dec. 20. They enjoyed lunch together, then prepared and delivered nine boxes of Christmas goodies to the elderly.
Descendants of George and Grace Tarr will gather at 11:30 a.m. Sunday for their annual holiday potluck dinner at McLouth Community Center. Dinner will begin at 1 p.m.
McLouth United Methodist Church will ring in the New Year with a family celebration. They’ll officially kick off their 40th anniversary year with a special time of fun and fellowship, as well as a midnight communion service. Festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday and continue through midnight.
Starting next Wednesday: The community is welcome to participate in the Fitness Walking Program from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, in the McLouth High School Purple Gym. There is no fee. Park in northwest lot and enter in the doors by the cafeteria. No street shoes are allowed in gym floor. For information, and to sign up, contact Linda Angle: (913) 796-6099.
