Obituary: Benjamin McKibbon Pickert

Services for Benjamin McKibbon Pickert, 21, Tonganoxie, were Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tonganoxie. Private inurnment was planned.

Mr. Pickert died Friday, July 14, 2006, in an automobile accident in Lawrence. He was born March 27, 1985, at St. Luke’s hospital, Kansas City, Kan.

He had lived most of his life in Bonner Springs and later moved to Tonganoxie, where he graduated from Tonganoxie High School in 2003.

He had attended Johnson County Community College. And this fall, he planned to attend Kansas University, Lawrence. He worked at Cheeseburger in Paradise in Kansas City, Kan.

Survivors include his mother, Jacque Egnatic, of the home; his father, Duane Pickert, Olathe; a brother, Justin Pickert, Chesterfield, Mo.; his maternal grandmother, Lillian Beasley, Overland Park; and his paternal grandparents, Everett and Audrey Pickert, Kansas City, Kan.
