Veterans Day weekend guests of Bob and Alfreda Ryan were their daughter, Kathel Dungan, from Beevill, Texas, and Kathel’s son, Mike and his wife, Shawlynn, from Carterville, Ill. They all attended the wedding of the Ryan’s grandson, Brandon Mance, and Bridget Boarman on Nov. 11 in Leavenworth.
Eight members of American Legion Auxiliary 393 and their families enjoyed a covered-dish Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 16 at the Community Building in McLouth.
McLouth’s Community Advent Service will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Nazarene Church, followed by cookies and fellowship.
December 3 is “Picture Day” at Countryside Baptist Church, 10328 Wellman Road, between McLouth and Oskaloosa. Come dressed in your Sunday best. They will take individual pictures of everyone present that day and then make a collage to hang on the wall in the entrance of the church.
Senior citizens are invited to a Christmas luncheon, sponsored by the McLouth High School Honor Society, at noon Dec. 14 in the high school library. Call (913) 796-6122 if you plan to attend.
A community scrapbooking fellowship will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday in the basement of McLouth First Baptist Church. Beginners and seasoned scrapbookers are welcome. Bring photos and ideas.
