Chieftain volleyball goes 2-1 on Senior Night
Tonganoxie finished off the regular season with wins against Topeka High and Lawrence-Free State on Tuesday night. THS defeated both the Trojans and Firebirds in two games each, while they lost in three games to Blue Valley West, the defending Class 5A state champions.
The evening also marked the last time seniors Ali Pistora and Rachel Bogard would play at home in Tonganoxie uniorms. A senior night ceremony honored the two seniors, as well as senior manager Sara Schlicht.
The Chieftains, now 30-8, likely will be the No. 2 seed at Saturday’s Class 4A substate tournament in Holton. The tournament’s start time hasn’t been announced.
