Vivian Nadine Parker
Services for Nadine Parker, 76, Fredonia, were Tuesday, Dec. 4, at First United Methodist Church in Fredonia. Burial was in Fredonia City Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Neodesha.
She was born Oct. 8, 1931, near Thayer, the daughter of Clarence Bartlett and Lila Lois (Hines) Babcock. She was a graduate of Altoona High School.
On April 15, 1951, near Earlton, she married John W. Parker. He survives, of the home.
John and Vivian owned and operated Self Service Grocery Store in Fredonia for many years. Vivian also worked at the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service office in Fredonia for a few years.
Mrs. Parker was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fredonia and had been an active member of the United Methodist Women and the 1910 Club.
Other survivors include two sons, Gayle Parker, Tonganoxie, and Clifford Parker, Bentonville, Ark.; a daughter, Sharon Little, Bentonville, Ark.; two brothers, Wayne Babcock, San Jacinto, Calif., and Clinton Babcock, Lansing; two sisters, Darlene Patterson, Chanute, and Coleen Miller, Fredonia; and six grandchildren.
An infant daughter, Karen Jean, and an infant son, Steven Ruel, died earlier.
