¢ A 42-year-old Leavenworth man was arrested for domestic battery after an incident stemming from an argument with his 14-year-old stepson around 6 a.m. Dec. 18, in the 16700 block of Mt. Olivet Road. A 36-year-old woman living in the home heard yelling and went to see what was wrong. The man pushed the woman, who tripped and fell onto the floor after the woman attempted to break up the argument. The mother of the victim called 911. After officers arrived, they transported the man to the Leavenworth County Jail.
¢ A 43-year-old Bonner Springs woman reported her dog had been taken sometime before 5:40 p.m. Dec. 18 from the 15300 block of 161st Street. The dog, a female brindle greyhound, brown in color with white markings on its feet and neck, was taken from outside the residence during the day. The report stated that the dog was worth $2,500.
¢ Sometime before noon Dec. 19, a Leavenworth man reported the theft of an all-terrain vehicle from his home in the 30600 block of 187th Street. The 2005 Artic Cat ATV had been chained to a front deck post, but the padlock had been cut. The ATV was valued at $5,300.
¢ Sometime before 4 p.m. Thursday, a burglary took place in the 17000 block of Leavenworth Road. The owner of the home, a 55-year-old Leavenworth woman, reported that a number of items were missing from her house including several firearms, a television, a computer and jewelry. The items were valued at more than $5,000.
