Obituary: Mary Ann (Simpson) Swenson

Services for Mary Ann (Simpson) Swenson will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7 at Blue Valley Christian Church, Overland Park. A private family burial will follow.

Mrs. Swenson died Monday, June 18, 2007.

She was born Dec. 7, 1918, in Clyde, the daughter of Rosa A. and Edward M. Simpson.

She and her husband, Dean, devoted their lives to doing the Lord’s work through church and missionary assignments across the United States.

They were married 47 years prior to Dean’s death and touched many lives during their time together.

Survivors include her children, Deanna Swenson, Leawood, Robert “Swede” Swenson, Ellis, and Susan Copeland, Overland Park; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Blue Valley Christian Church, 12251 Lamar Ave., Overland Park 66209.
