T-Bones hold off Edmonton twice, struggle against Calgary Vipers
The Kansas City T-Bones went 3-2 last week against Northern League baseball competition.
The T-Bones are now 16-24 on the season.
In Wednesday’s 11-6 victory against Edmonton, Kansas City committed three errors, but still won. The T-Bones produced 15 hits in the high-scoring affair. Al Benjamin went 2-for-6 with a triple and three RBI. Kenny Durost improved to 4-0 on the season. Durost pitched 6.1 innings and gave up four hits, two earned runs and five walks. He struck out five.
Kansas City defeated Edmonton again on Thursday, 13-4. Mario Delgado had a massive day at the plate, going 5-for-6 with three doubles and six RBI.
The T-Bones ended their two-game winning streak the next night against Calgary, losing 11-8. Kansas City pitchers issued 11 hits and 10 walks to Calgary, which is in first place in the North division.
Calgary defeated Kansas City again on Friday, 9-5. The T-Bones committed two errors and used five different pitchers in the loss.
Kansas City got back on the winning track Sunday, defeating Calgary, 18-12.
