Jarbalo Jottings

By Thamar Barnett - | May 2, 2007

Members of the Jaunty Jarbalonians, a Red Hat Society chapter, made a trip April 21 to the Moon Marble Company in Bonner Springs. After watching a hand-blown glass marble being made, the Jaunty Jarbalonians made several purchases from the large supply of marbles, games and other interesting items. The group then went to eat at the Jet Fuel Cafe.

Making the trip were Barbara Bailey, Frances Frick, Connie Barnett, Lynn Paul, Jane Turner and her granddaughter Sydney Turner, Thamar Barnett, Bonny Barnett and her guest, Sandra Hilsabeck of Lawson, Mo. Sandra is now a member, adding one more Barnett to the chapter.

Jim Murry had a belated Easter dinner at his home April 22. Guests were Jason and Nicole Murry and family of Princeton; James Murry and two sons from Greenwood, Mo.; Verna Cutright, Michelle and Rosemary of Paola; and Cheryl Williams and friend of Leavenworth. Jim took some dinner to his parents, Tom and Jean Murry.

On April 23, Charles and Connie Sheppard of Lenexa took Bid Sheppard to see the Dead Sea Scrolls at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo. They also ate at the Harvest House in McLouth.

Linda Aufdemberge of Basehor visited Bid on Monday.
