There will be hanging of the greens at 6 p.m. Saturday at Jarbalo United Methodist Church.

During church service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, Glory Generation group will perform at Jarbalo United Methodist Church.

Also on Dec. 16, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Gateway group from Tonganoxie will play host to the Gateway bell-ringer choir from Leavenworth. Refreshments will be served and Santa Claus will make an appearance. Bring your children and your camera to join the fun.

Charles Sheppard of Lenexa picked up Bid Sheppard and Kathy Powers and took them to his and Connie’s house for Thanksgiving dinner.

On Nov. 18, Jim Murry had an early Thanksgiving dinner. Guests were Jean Murry, James and Katie Murry, Andrew and Zachary of Greenwood, Mo., and Verna Murry, Michelle and Rosemary.

Thanksgiving day, Jean Murry was a guest of Pat and Jeanne Murry and Marianne in Olathe.

The Barnett family Thanksgiving dinner was held in the Jarbalo United Methodist basement. Those attending were David and Jane Turner, Connie Barnett, Eric Barnett, Kathy Stimac, Kipp Barnett, Loren and Kirsten Barnett and Taylor, Jesse Blake Barnett and friend, Beth and her daughter, Shamai, Tammy Mooberry, Ronnie Mooberry, Dameta Tullis, Jake and Rhiannon Roscoe, Lyndsey Roscoe and Madison Smith, Paul and Lynn Heskett, Kody, Michelle and Isaac, Julia Carter and Shianne and Thamar Barnett.

The Hesketts stayed with Thamar Barnett on Thursday. They visited Paul’s parents, Gene and Glenda Heskett of Tonganoxie, on their way home Friday.
