Bulldogs lose hoops home openers

After hanging with the visiting Bears in the first quarter, McLouth struggled to keep up the rest of the way in its season opener, falling to St. Marys, 65-39.
Dynamic junior wing Missy Rome led the Bulldogs (0-1) with 26 points and five steals. Cassidy Bristol scored eight and Kylie Shufflebarger added five.
McLouth travels to Oskaloosa on Monday for a Delaware Valley League Tournament game against Horton at 6:15 p.m.

McLouth scored more points in the first quarter than it did in the final three periods combined and only scored one second-half field goal as the Bulldogs fell to St. Marys, 63-20.
Junior MHS point guard Cole Batman scored 13 points and was the only Bulldog to score in the final three quarters.
McLouth (0-2) travels to Oskaloosa on Tuesday for a Delaware Valley League Tournament game with Immaculata at 4:30 p.m.
