¢ Firefighters responded with Leavenworth County Emergency Medical Service at 5:10 a.m. Jan. 1, 6:33 a.m. Thursday and 1:08 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. Saturday.
¢ At 10:31 p.m. Jan. 2, firefighters assisted a resident at 10:31 p.m.

¢ At 4:36 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded for Stranger Township for a brush fire at 198th Street and Evans Road.

¢ Around 4 p.m. Jan. 2, Leavenworth County Deputies responded to a non-injury car accident on U.S. Highway 73 about a quarter mile south of Kansas Highway 192. Daniel Wolton, 41, Gladstone Mo., went left of center in his vehicle while driving on US 73 hitting a truck driven by Michael Jessup, 45, Leavenworth.
¢ A 70-year-old Topeka man was involved in a non-injury accident after attempting to get back on to the road on U.S. Highway 24-40 about a mile south of Honey Creek Road. Ronald Stransberry was driving his 2001 Dodge caravan when he lost control of he vehicle, went into spin and crashed into the west ditch.
¢ Around 7 a.m. Thursday, Leavenworth County Sheriff’s deputies discovered a vehicle abandoned and on fire on Leavenworth Road east of the Cliffs Bridge. The truck, which belonged to a 28-year-old Atchison man was completely engulfed in flames. The entire cab, as well as the dashboard and engine compartment were in ashes after firefighters put out the fire. Officers contacted the Atchison County to contact the owner. The report stated that he wanted to report the truck as stolen.
¢ Officers arrested a 22-year-old Leavenworth man after coming back home from an earlier argument that took place around 2:17 a.m. Thursday, in the 23700 block of 187th Street. Officers arrived at the home on a disorderly conduct complaint and found an intoxicated 43-year-old property owner. The property owner said she was having an argument with her step-son. When officers arrived at the home, the Leavenworth man fled into the fields around the house and was not able to be found. Later that morning around 9:27, the woman called back and said her step-son had returned and was now asleep on her couch with his girlfriend while one of his friends slept on the floor. Police discovered the man had a warrant through the city of Leavenworth and entered the residence to arrest the man.
¢ A storage unit from Y-Not Store it Inc., was broken into sometime before 11:21 a.m. Thursday. The unit belonged to a 35-year-old Shawnee woman. The report stated that the unknown subject damaged the keypad and gate to get into the storage unit. The subject then cut off the lock to the woman’s unit. The loss was estimated at $15,000. An investigation is still on going.
¢ A 24-year-old Easton man was taken to the Leavenworth County Jail after he was discovered in possession of marijuana during a routine traffic stop around 4:10 pm. On Second Street and Kickapoo Road.
¢ Three youths were arrested after a fight that took place around 9:20 p.m. on Parallel Road and 183rd Street. A total of six people, including a 21-year-old Clearview City man were involved in the fight. Police were called when one of the youths at the scene claimed to have seen a weapon. Three of the youths were from the Tonganoxie area, one from De Soto and the least was from Leavenworth.
