By Mirror Staff Reports - | Dec 7, 2009

It didn’t take the McLouth High boys basketball team long to get in the win column this season.

The Bulldogs won their season opener at Troy, 43-35, on Thursday a year removed from starting the season 0-8.

Senior guard Cole Batman led McLouth with 23 points, scoring 14 from the free-throw line.

Shawn Dailey, Alen Kramer and Gavin Swearngin chipped in four points apiece.

On Friday, however, McLouth (1-1) fell at St. Marys, 60-36.

MHS held a 9-7 lead after a quarter but struggled to score down the stretch.

Batman again led the team in scoring, this time getting nine points. Swearngin and Kramer each contributed eight points.
