GIRLS

Mill Valley has taken command of the Kaw Valley League girls basketball race. The Jaguars already handed Lansing and Piper their lone league setbacks earlier this season. On Friday they traveled to defending league champion Basehor-Linwood and gave the Bobcats a second league loss.

Of course, the Basehor will travel to Mill Valley on Friday with revenge on its mind. The Bobcats first must take on Tonganoxie on Tuesday, and the Chieftains sit at 4-1 in the league standings.
