McLouth hoops teams sweep Troy
The McLouth High boys basketball team picked up its second victory of the season on Tuesday night, beating visiting Troy, 46-41.
Junior point guard Cole Batman led the Bulldogs (2-13) with 22 points. Freshman forward Gavin Swearngin scored eight and senior forward Derrick Crouse had seven.
The game was tied at the half but MHS held Troy to four third-quarter points on the way to a win.
The MHS girls also won, defeating Troy, 38-25.
The Bulldogs allowed just two first-half points and shut Troy out in the second quarter, building a 20-2 lead at the break.
Junior guard Missy Rome exploded for 29 of the team’s points. Logan Terry Chipped in three.
Both McLouth teams are at Kansas City Christian Academy on Friday.
