A Lansing man is among appointees to the Kansas Military Disability Board announced today by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

“Kansas has a strong tradition of supporting our veterans,” Sebelius said. “I am thankful for this board’s work in ensuring that veterans receive the disability and awards compensation they deserve.”

The appointees are:

• Brig. Gen. John Davoren, Lansing, who serves as the Assistant Adjutant General – Army and Commander of the Kansas Army National Guard.

• Col. John Andrew, Topeka, who serves as the Deputy Commander of the Kansas Army National Guard.

• Col. Scott Dold, Lawrence, who serves as the Senior Legal Advisor/Staff Judge Advocate to the Kansas Adjutant General’s Department.

All appointees will serve at the pleasure of the governor.

The Kansas Military Disability Board determines percentage of total disability and awards compensation for disability or death in accordance with provisions of K.S.A. 48-261 to 48-271.
