Basehor-Linwood school district officials have postponed due to weather a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for this afternoon at the new Basehor Intermediate School.

The region is under a winter weather warning, with sleet and snow coating roads and highways throughout the area.

Kaci Brutto, spokeswoman for USD 458, said the ribbon-cutting event would be rescheduled at a later date.
