McLouth girls win by 25

The McLouth High girls basketball team turned a slight early deficit into a complete rout Tuesday night against Wathena.

The Bulldogs trailed by one after a quarter, but dominated down the stretch to win easily, 60-35.

MHS (4-3) outscored visiting Wathena 31-21 in the second and third quarters, but really poured it on in the fourth, going on a 19-3 run in the final eight minutes.

Senior guard Missy Rome led McLouth with 25 points. Kylie Shufflebarger also was in double figures with 11. Morgan Drinnon scored six.

On Friday, the Bulldogs play host to Immaculata at 6 p.m.
