The Basehor Historical Museum Society’s farmer’s market is seeking vendors for its 2011 season, which is set to begin in May.
This year’s markets are to take place from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday from May 7 to Oct. 15, on the north side of the Reece & Nichols building near 155th Street and U.S. Highway 24-40, society director Carla Crawford said.
Crawford said market organizers were especially hoping to recruit vendors selling fresh produce, and any goods sold at the markets should be “homegrown, homemade or home-raised.”
The society will charge vendors a fee of $10 per market or a $120 fee, paid in advance, for the whole season of markets.
Vendor applications are available at the Basehor Historical Museum, 2812 N. 155th St., at Basehor City Hall, 2620 N. 155th St., or online at cityofbasehor.org (here’s a direct link).
The society is also looking for volunteers to help with the markets, Crawford said.
