Officials with the American Royal in Kansas City, Mo., are seeking area singers to perform the national anthem during the American Royal Fall Festival of Events, going on over the months of September, October and November.

With nearly 30 events going on between Sept. 3 and Nov. 21, there are several opportunities for community members to showcase their singing talent. Individuals and groups can apply and any age is eligible.

To apply, send an audio and/or video tape (CD’s preferred) of yourself or your group singing the national anthem to American Royal, Attn. National Anthem Contest, 1701 American Royal Court, Kansas City, MO 64102. Please include your name, address, age, cell phone number, previous singing experience, dates available to sing and an email address.

All submissions must be postmarked by Aug. 27. All those selected to perform will be contacted by Sept. 3.
