Executive council of Springdale Church met May 11 at the home of Kevin and Dyla Lawrence for potluck dinner. The council discussed the pastor search and decided to start interviewing in June.

On May 13 Dave and Julie Zule had a buffet supper at their home to honor their son Derek’s 12th birthday. The grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins attended.

Sons of Brian and Kay Schwinn graduated. On May 14 Christopher graduated from Benedictine College and the following day Justin graduated from Pleasant Ridge High School.

Linda R. Schwinn had some knee surgery on May 17 at Olathe Medical Center. She is home and doing well.

The farmers are getting some field work done in between the showers.
