Leavenworth County Commission agenda: week of Jan. 16

The Leavenworth County Commission meets regularly at 9 a.m. each Monday and Thursday at the Leavenworth County Courthouse, 300 Walnut St. in Leavenworth. This week, the commission will meet Tuesday and Thursday because the county will observe the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday.

Monday, Jan. 17
9 a.m.: Public comment/administrative business/administrator’s report
- Approval of minutes of Jan. 12
- Discussion of J.C. Tibbets’ reappointment to the Leavenworth County Port Authority
Thursday, Jan. 19
9 a.m.: Public comment/administrative business/administrator’s report
- Approval of minutes of Jan. 17
- Approval of agenda for week of Jan. 23
9:30 a.m.: Public works/planning and zoning — 148th Street/Timber Lakes subdivision report
10 a.m.: Public works — Generator contract extension, chemical bid solicitation and request for approval for replacement of noxious weeds pickup
10:30 a.m.: Executive session with a representative from a prospective economic development project; confidential data relating to financial affairs and trade secrets to be discussed
Friday, Jan. 20
11:30 a.m.: County officials will attend the Leavenworth County Development Corporation annual meeting.
