BLHS graduate to display artwork at Washburn

A Basehor-Linwood High School graduate will have a work on display at a student art show at Washburn University in Topeka starting next week.

Eleanor Heimbaugh, a senior at Washburn pursuing a bachelor of fine arts degree, will have “Kansas Plains Bottle 2,” a work of wood-fired clay, on display at the university’s Mulvane Art Museum.

Heimbaugh also had works on display at the university’s 2010 and 2011 student art shows.

The museum is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
