In 6A, Shawnee Mission Northwest High will be in the Olathe East sub-state, while Shawnee Mission North High will be in the Blue Valley sub-state that includes Shawnee Mission East High, Shawnee Mission South High and Shawnee Mission West High.

In 5A, Mill Valley High will travel to Topeka-Seaman while St. James Academy will head to Turner.

Seeding will be released on March 1 with brackets released after 3 p.m. The higher-seeded team will host the first round game with 6A girls and 5A boys playing on March 5, and 6A boys and 5A girls playing on March 6. The finals will also be played at the high-seeded team’s home court with 6A girls and 5A boys playing on March 7, and 6A boys and 5A girls playing on March 8.

In 4A, Tonganoxie will travel to host Basehor-Linwood while Bonner Springs heads to De Soto.

Brackets will be released after 3 p.m. on Feb. 26.

All games will be played at the primary host with the girls semi-final games on March 6 and the boys on March 7. Both boys and girls finals will be played on March 8.

Maranatha Academy and McLouth High were seeded together at Valley Falls in 2A.

Seeding and brackets will be released after 3 p.m. on Feb. 26.

Quarterfinal games will be played at the higher seed with the girls playing on March 3 and the boys on March 4.

The semi-finals and finals will take place at the primary site with the girls playing on March 6 and the boys on March 7. Like 4A, the girls and boys will play the finals March 8.

Wrestling regionals released

KSHSAA also announced the regional assignments, which will be held Feb. 21-22.

SM Northwest will travel to Gardner-Edgerton High while SM North will head to Blue Valley High.

Mill Valley and St. James were paired together at Pittsburg High.

Both 5A and 6A will compete on Feb. 22.

In 4A, Bonner Springs, Basehor-Linwood and Tonganoxie were paired together and they will travel to Holton High.

McLouth was placed at Sabetha High for 3A/2A/1A.

Regionals for 4A and 3A/2A/1A will take place Feb. 21 and 22.
