David and Jane Turner were guests of Davy and Tracey Turner and family Sunday in McLouth. They had a dinner to celebrate David’s birthday.

Gary and Linda Blanton of Highland brought their dachshund, Okie, to Orville and Rosie Oelschlaeger for them to care for while the Blantons took a trip. They returned Sunday and had dinner with Orvile and Rosie and retrieved Okie.

The Christmas dinner of the Jarbalo United Methodist Women was canceled Friday because of the weather.

There will be a candlelight service at 7:30 p.m. Christmas Eve at Jarbalo United Methodist Church.
