Ronda’s Run 5K, which will start with registration at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 4, will be in honor of Ronda Andrews, the Genesis Christian Academy teacher who was killed in a vehicle accident near Basehor less than two weeks before the current school year. Andrews also was an avid runner.

Check-in begins at 7 a.m. and the race is set to start at 8 a.m. at Tonganoxie Christian Church, 204 Washington St.

Registration can be done online at active.com by searching for “Ronda’s Run.” Registration is $20 for runners 16 and older and $10 for runners younger than 16.

Proceeds will go toward the school to help keep tuition costs down for its students.
