Hope to see everyone at the chili supper and bake sale from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the McLouth Community Center. The event is sponsored by Stanwood Friends Church, and the proceeds will benefit McLouth Ministers Alliance Benevolence Fund.
McLouth Elementary School would like to invite all veterans and the community for a short recognition ceremony to honor our military men and women who have served and those who are currently serving. Please join us at 9 a.m. Thursday in the McLouth Purple Gym. We ask you to RSVP by calling 913-796-6122 so that we may accommodate seating for everyone. Thank you for serving.
Enjoy a pancake breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to Noon Saturday at the McLouth Firehouse.
McLouth United Methodist Church invites you to a “Bizarre Bazaar.” Join us Saturday for our fourth annual Lamplighters spaghetti dinner and silent auction. The silent auction begins at 4:30 p.m. with items for all ages, male and female, and ends at 7 p.m. The spaghetti dinner is from 5 to 7 p.m. and includes spaghetti, salad, breadsticks, dessert and drink. It is a free will offering meal with first-floor seating available. There will also be homemade goodies and crafts for sale throughout the evening. All proceeds will go to missions supported by the Lamplighters/United Methodist Women group.
The Veterans Day parade in downtown Leavenworth begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Taps will be played at 11 a.m. The route: from Fourth and Cherokee to Esplanade, west on Delaware to Seventh Street, then from Seventh to Fifth and Cherokee.
